Culturally Sensitive Interventions - Promoting a Healthy Sense of Self

Contemporary events related to racial injustice, inequality, inequity and civil unrest have placed a spot light on systemic racism. Systemic racism manifests itself in the form of implicit bias and microaggressions. By participating in this session, early childhood educators will increase their awareness around implicit bias, microaggressions and its impact in the early learning setting. They will expand their knowledge and skills in building a culturally responsive early learning environment that fosters a healthy sense of self in children.
